aw well, what the hell.. we did it!!!! hayden is doing the final mixing and editing as we speak. we are doing a pre-release short run of the album and and will have the finished product in our hands tomorrow am. can’t wait to get em out there.. this thing ROCKS!!! fingers crossed (the ones that work) our audience will agree….

check in tomorrow to see if we actually make the deadline;) D Man

slugging it out!!

we’re finished tracking and into the mix of it all… ahhhhh!!!!!! we’re gona make the deadline.. there’s no way we can’t. BAM!!

we’re not dead..

no, we’re not dead.. we’re back from boot camp and back to the album! the clock is ticking and our goal date to have the album complete by sept 15, next thursday, is fast approaching. it’s quite a push on our producer (sorry hayden) but he’s doing just fine! after finishing some 3-part harmonies, there won’t be much left to track.. just a heap of mixing. again, thanks Hayden! we’ve got our Peak Performance showcase coming up @ The Red Room in Van on thursday so things are crazy busy but we’re still merging forward.. one strum at a time. Mark, don’t crack!!! just kidding;)

out, Duff

#thepeakbootcamp

so today was our first day of peak performance boot camp.. and it’s sick. i dunno exactly how we got here.. but we did and were all pretty stoked. we hit the lake as soon as we arrived, caus its really hot aqnd theres a sick lake right out front. then i blobbed Timmy. he didnt go high enough so im gona find the biggest guy here and double blob his ass tomorrow and hopefully make him cry. met lots of good people so far and we are booked in the studio for jam on our vancouver song later tonight. check back in tomorrow! Duff

if there isn’t an audience, then did the show ever really happen?

haha, it really wasn’t that bad, we were treating wonderfully at the resort in ukulet by the staff who seemed to genuinely appreciate the music, so that was cool. we we’re given wonderful accommodations with coffee and wine (wine which i originally thought was complementary, so i had packed it in my suitcase, then later saw that duff had taken it out and hidden it, which is then that i realized they probably cost money, woopsi! sorry guys!) but the show went great and we got a lot of complements on the quality of our playing and the orchestration. we only had a few friends come out, we played for a wedding party, but only for a short time…. hmmm… then there was some lovely folk from san jose or something place like that who sat with us in the hot tub and came down to the lounge to watch our set, so thank you to them! the one dude bought me a whiskey and coke while i was playing… awesome. love hanging out with duff and ‘my big sis,’ awesome time guys! but they missed out on a pretty cool walk around town, though. ukulet is a wonderful place, with lots of beautiful scenery, though it was from a pretty nice and drunk perspective. but i did scale a log over the top of a river that was a pretty far way down. i was kind scared but i went slowly, so obviously if i can go cliff climbing and log sclaling then i must’ve been that drunk. anyways, it was nice talking to you folks, timmy james, out!

light at the end of the tunnel..

making an album is a task. making it in less than 30 days and not having it sound like complete shit, is something else. i don’t like excessive pressure and stress. who does. but it’s incredible to be getting things done.. and done well. these six songs have come to life! it’s exciting to create something out of nothing. all of us in the band are song writers, that’s how we met, so when we bring our bare/raw songs to life.. it’s really awesome. despite all the fucking chaos that comes with it! i can see light at the end of the tunnel.. and that is a good thing. i have to agree with Hayden when he says.. “it’s gonna be awesome!”. yup.. can’t wait

best day in studio so far!

we had a great day. much needed after the last week of hell. felt kinda like being pressure cooked with your head in a vice. Timmy kicked me on the nuts yesterday when he said he would like to sing the lead vocals on my songs. i was struggling in the studio, won’t lie. i wanted to kick him back but cooled off and we sorted it out. i figured, i take up the slack for him when he’s awol or whatever.. so it’s only fair he takes up the slack for me when i can’t sing worth a shit. that’s why we’re a band. i love ya Timmy.. and you killed it today. can’t wait to hear this album! back in tomorrow. Rock On
